About the Course
This course on the psychotherapeutic management of OCD and related disorders provides you with an in-depth understanding and practical skills necessary for effective treatment. The curriculum spans 8 comprehensive sessions, covering essential topics such as clinical picture, assessment procedures, the nature and background of OCD, and the bio-psycho-social aspects of treatment. Participants will explore various therapeutic approaches, including psychoanalysis, REBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), learning to apply these techniques through detailed case studies and step-by-step treatment processes.
The course also addresses complex aspects of OCD treatment, such as managing poor insight, differentiating OCD from OCPD, and handling related disorders like hoarding, body dysmorphic disorder, and trichotillomania. By understanding key concepts like thought-action fusion, thought suppression, and catastrophic thinking, therapists will be equipped to implement effective interventions, such as exposure and response prevention, systematic desensitization, and habit reversal training. This comprehensive training ensures therapists can deliver targeted, evidence-based care to improve outcomes for clients struggling with OCD and related disorders.

Her work experience includes various hospitals, Clinics, NGOs & private practice. Worked extensively in both inpatient & outpatient settings with all age groups. She has vast experience in dealing with all psychiatric disorders as well as psychological difficulties. Ms. Singh has published three books. She is also a dedicated educator who frequently facilitates webinars/ course to support aspiring psychologists and MHPs in their professional development.
