About the Course
This comprehensive course is designed for psychology students & therapists to enhance their understanding and skills in trauma-informed care and psychotherapeutic management of trauma. It covers the psychological processes and theories of trauma, such as memory, dissociation, and cognitive-affective reactions, and delves into the impact of trauma on the brain, including neuroplasticity and sensory processing.
The course teaches participants how to take detailed trauma histories, conduct thorough assessments, and develop trauma-focused competencies. Therapists will learn about and practice various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and movement-related therapies like yoga and dance/movement therapy. The course also covers grief therapy, group therapy, and specialized approaches for children.
Through detailed modules and sessions, therapists will learn to take trauma histories, conduct assessments, develop trauma-focused competencies, and apply practical counseling techniques, ultimately equipping them with a robust toolkit to support trauma survivors and improve client outcomes.

Ms. Sanskriti Singh, RCI registered Senior Clinical Psychologist & Psychotherapist with 13+ years of clinical experience. Her work experience includes various hospitals, Clinics, NGOs & private practice. Worked extensively in both inpatient & outpatient settings with all age groups. She has vast experience in dealing with all psychiatric disorders as well as psychological difficulties. Ms. Singh has published three books. She is also a dedicated educator who frequently facilitates webinars/ course to support aspiring psychologists and MHPs in their professional development.
